Earring Holder

February 14, 2011

My little sister, Megan will be officially leaving her teen years {sniff} and is turning the big 2-0 on the 26th of this month. We won't be able to celebrate the big day with her since she goes to school all the way up in Davis so I decided to make her something special this year. Megan loves accessorizing her outfits with earrings so I decided to make her an earring holder to hang in her room. I hope she loves it!
I used an old black frame, scrap fabric, a sheet of clear plastic canvas, and a glue gun to make the earring holder and embellished it with a felt flower using Tatertots and Jello's $1 leather or felt flower tutorial here. I love the way it turned out!
Here is a close up of the fabric I used. I love the pattern!
Happy early Birthday Megan and Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

  1. Stopping by from Craftomaniac. I'm thinking about making something similar to hang necklaces from. Except instead of the plastic grid, just fabric over cardboard with thumbtacks. Have you ever made one like that? Thanks for sharing!
